About
TetraGammaTron Labs is a small workshop for software and careful science. One MD-PhD writes the code and runs the statistics behind everything here.
The name
TetraGammaTron is a scientific and technological play on Tetragrammaton, the Greek term for “the four-letter name,” which refers to YHWH. It combines “tetra,” Greek for four, with “gamma,” the third letter of the Greek alphabet and a symbol associated with science and mathematics, plus “tron,” a suffix that suggests machines and advanced technology. The result reads as an enigmatic scientific system while it keeps the recognizable structure of Tetragrammaton.
Three other Greek roots sit under the work. Gnosis is knowledge and kodikos is code. Iatros is the physician-healer. Knowledge, code, medicine: every project the lab ships lands on at least one of them, and the best ones land on all three.
Who runs it
Oren Fugón, MD-PhD. An MD, and a PhD in Integrative Genetics and Genomics from UC Davis (2023). Doctoral work in epigenetic editing, specifically dCas9-based reactivation of the silenced paternal UBE3A allele in Angelman syndrome, co-mentored by Dr. David J. Segal and Dr. Janine LaSalle. First-author publication in Human Molecular Genetics and co-author in Genome Biology. He authored a funded Biogen-supported research grant and an NIH F31 fellowship application, and held two NIH T32 training-grant appointments. Chief Science Officer at iVista Medical Education. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
What’s unusual is that one person does all of it. The statistics in CMEye come from someone who has defended statistics to a grant reviewer. The bench tools come from someone who ran cell culture for years, some nights at the hood until 2am, so they solve the problems a scientist actually runs into.

Everything ships with an explanation
If a tool produces a number, the method behind it is written down in plain language. How It Works exists for that reason. A result you can’t interrogate is a result you shouldn’t trust, and that includes the results this lab produces.
Verify the citation or cut it
In the grant work, every reference is full-text verified and audited for sponsor bias. If it can’t be verified on its own, it doesn’t go in the document. The same rule covers the claims on this website.
